Sylvan
A WNW Poem
The daisies you have tortured
to tell your fate,
retire them
by braiding the intact stems into my hair
like an Irish claddagh.
The roses you planted around your heart,
the ones that bare
their thorny teeth
at anyone that makes your
flesh blush,
I will twist them into my hair,
and adorn them as antlers.
I will protect your heart,
if you rest
and let me
love you.
