For the Singles
On the eve of Valentine’s Day, is Galentine’s Day, a day people will celebrate themselves. In honor of this special day, I have created a list of anti-Valentine/single pringle poems that I hope you will enjoy.
So, get the bubble bath ready, eat that chocolate, and enjoy Galentine’s Day.
We should date ourselves.
Heaven is being home alone,
call me Macaulay Culkin
and make sure my pizza is plain cheese.
Salt in the wound
doesn't hurt like it used to,
not when you know what the source was.
You kept dying on your hills,
so I let you lie there
and continued living.
An end of an era,
and I am glad it is now history.
Therapy is date night for me.
The more you can do for your life,
the happier you will be.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
and I am happy to focus on me.
I release the cardboard box of flower petals I plucked in my past
into the wind to give them the chance to grow,
regale on their past,
and love themselves for what they are now.
I feel like the static embedded in the record,
natural, electric, conductive,
necessary,
the balance to the music.
Now I can learn how to love myself.
Love,
