Attempts
Happy Friday to all! Congrats for once again being triumphant over the week. I hope Monday didn’t give you too much of a fight, your Wednesday tipped your scales to help finish the week justly. Weekends are perfect for reflection, relaxing, and also, trying something new. Below is my documented attempt to trying something new; flash fiction, a story in a snippet. Below are some pieces I have made:
She woke up to her ending.
Fires rage on, fueled by books.
The snuffed candles ushered the congregation.
His reflection winked at me.
The cacophony of crickets dropped degrees.
Fingers slip, counting down their grip.
Deer search for sanctuary in the city.
It all began with a cough.
The old man was struck blind in a green flash.
People making chapels in hugs, pushing patrons into their tears.
I saw her face, and that is all I heard.
Prayers on the pyre are amplified.
Gossip resumes when Zeus returns.
Flora sheaths themselves in shells of armor.
Nymphs don’t speak of drowning, but they love inciting it.
They found ancient text in concrete slabs.
Magic makes witches burn bright.
I hope you have enjoyed these flash fiction pieces. They were a lot of fun to try out. What is something that you are trying out for the first time? Comment below!
